ROLLIE is a multi-stop navigation app published by QINHOUSE ("we", "us").
01What we collect and why
AccountYour email address, or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them, so you can sign in and keep your data across devices. Passwords are stored only as a hash by our authentication provider.Kept in our database until you delete your account.
Saved placesThe place name, its address text and a Mapbox place identifier, so you can add a saved place to a route quickly. We do not store the coordinates.Kept until you remove the place or delete your account.
PreferencesTravel modes, accessibility choices such as avoid stairs, and appearance, so the routes we propose fit you.On your device and in our database.
Trip historyWhen a trip started and ended, the travel mode and the stops on it, so Insights and Schedule can show your day.On your device and in our database until you delete your account.
Community reportsThe kind of report (delay, closure, crowding, hazard), its location and time, and confirmations you give to other riders' reports, so riders nearby are warned. Reports are shown without your name.Reports expire after a few hours. Deleting your account removes yours.
LocationYour position while the app is in use, to start routes from where you are, show nearby places and place a report. Location is used on the device and sent to our servers only as part of a route request or a report. We never track you in the background.Not stored, except as a stop on a trip in your history or as the location of a report you file.
Crash and performance reportsDevice model, operating system version, app version and a technical description of a crash or slowdown, so we can fix problems.Kept by Sentry for 90 days. These reports carry no name, email or location.
02Who processes data for us
We use these services to run the app. Each one receives only what its job needs.
- Supabase for sign-in and the database.
- Mapbox for maps, place search and route optimisation. Search and route requests carry the coordinates involved; results are used only during your session.
- Foursquare for place ratings. Requests carry a place name and position, not your identity.
- Apple and Google when you choose to sign in with them.
- Sentry for crash reports.
- DigitalOcean hosts our servers. Transit information comes from the public MTA data feeds and never identifies you.
03What we do not do
We do not sell your data, show advertising, or track you across other apps or websites. We do not collect contacts, photos or the content of your device.
04Your choices
- Location can be refused or withdrawn in your phone's settings. The app then asks for a manual starting point.
- Delete your account at any time in the app: Profile, Account, Delete account. This removes your account, saved places, preferences, trip history and reports from our servers and clears the data on the device.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or for its deletion; we answer within 30 days.
05Children
ROLLIE is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
06Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
